Winner of the 2023 American Academy of Equine Art’s Founder’s Award and the Gallery Directors Award. This painting was inspired by the artist’s first visit to the Mount Harmon / Wicomico Hunt Point to Point in 2023. When she first got there the mist was lifting off the Chesapeake. She was dazzled by the backdrop and was looking to capture movement and atmosphere in a realistic but slightly abstracted way.
