1st Race: PA Junior Pony Hunt Cup
A Field Master’s chase open to junior riders on ponies. Riders are to not have had their 16th birthday as of the first of the year and are to have not raced in open company (non pony, junior or young rider races). All ponies must be a minimum of 5 years old. Catch weights. Riders are to follow a Field Master over a flagged course not to exceed 2 miles with no more than 12 obstacles none of which are to exceed 2’6”. After the last fence, the Field Master will release the field to race for the finish. Hunting attire or silks. Small, Medium, and Large trophies awarded, standard pony measurements. Race will most likely be divided into two divisions, small/medium and large races, but all sizes will be awarded separately.
2nd Race: PA Junior Horse Hunt Cup
A Field Master’s chase open to junior riders on horses. Riders are to not have had their 16th birthday as of the first of the year and are to have not raced in open company (non pony, junior or young rider races). All horses must be a minimum of 5 years old and not to have won a sanctioned race in the last two years. Catch weights. Riders are to follow a Field Master over a flagged course not to exceed 2 miles with no more than 12 obstacles, none of which are to exceed 2’6”. After the last fence, the Field Master will release the field to race for the finish. Hunting Attire or Silks. Thoroughbred and non-Thoroughbred trophies will be awarded.
